Create a restaurant concept, identity and packaging.
I wanted to reinvent the rockbar, as they're often male-dominated, murky and serve greasy food. I wanted the freshness of the Asian kitchen and saw an opportunity to do it differently as Asian restaurants in Sweden traditionally have a very minimalistic look and feel, not at all reflective of the craziness of Tokyo.
Japanese rockbar concept exploring design in the cheesy category of 80’s rock, karaoke, ”made in china” and bootleg merchandise.
The restaurant serves fresh Asian food with a rockbar twist. Noodle burgers, garlic ramen popcorn & wasabi ice cream in a maximalistic environment.
The menu is inspired by the billboard top 100 and made from cheap manga paper.
The take-away containers are origami-constructed, no glue or plastic necessary.
